About this site

The Soft Toy Collector publishes practical guides on collecting, identifying and looking after soft toys, written for adult collectors and for people buying soft toys as gifts.

Who runs it

This site is published by Mentor Technology Limited, registered in England and Wales (company number 12899244), which trades as ESSA UK. Registered office: Flat 6 Heron House, 149 Binley Road, Coventry CV3 1HX. We sell soft toys, mainly Douglas® plush dogs, at essauk.com. We are not an independent reviewer, and you should read our guides knowing that.

How we make money

The site carries a clearly labelled advert for our own shop. We do not take payment from other brands to appear in our guides, and we do not use affiliate links.

Brands we write about

Brands such as Jellycat are mentioned only to describe their products. We are not connected with them and they have not reviewed this site. We do not sell Jellycats.

How we check our guides

Each guide lists the sources behind its factual claims and shows the date it was checked. Stock, prices and retirement status change, so check with the seller before you buy. If you spot a mistake, email info@essauk.com.
